CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERâ„¢

Since 1989 it has been my honor to help families, couples and newly independent women gain confidence and control over their personal finances through collaborative financial planning.  After living all over the US, plus Rio de Janeiro, I settled in my favorite place on the planet, Lake Tahoe. I attended UCSB earning a BA in Economics to start my career in Finance.

I have earned two of the most respected industry designations, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (1992) and Retirement Income Certified Professional(2013).  I am very honored to also have repeatedly won The Women's Choice Award® and The Five Star Wealth Manager Award.

I come from a family with an interest in finance and a passion for making a difference.  My grandfather opened his own bank at the age of 19 in the state of Iowa; which remains in business today.  My father like his father, was also a planner.  He was able to prepare my family with a well thought out investment and estate plan.  It was with my father’s passing that I realized my gift for helping widows as a financial advisor.  As I worked with my mother through the difficult transition and planning for her future, my gentle guidance, humor and use of plain English enabled me to serve my highest calling and make a difference.

I have made our mission at Oak Tree Wealth to understand where you are financially and where you want to go.  Starting with a detailed discovery process, we create a plan to get you there and work together over the years to adjust for any changing needs.

Just as my family and I take on new adventures and hire the appropriate guides, I am happy to be my clients' guide to help them stay focused on their chosen path.  When I’m not advising, I love spending time with my family, human and furry, hiking, kayaking, skiing and quilting.
